Audi In-Car Wireless Charging

Audi offers an optional universal mobile telephone holder with Qi wireless charging to facilitate convenient charging while on the go. The Audi phone box connects the mobile device to the external aerial via a wireless connection and therefore also assures improved reception. In the A8 the Audi phone box is available in several versions – for the driver and the rear passengers, and with or without an NFC antenna connection.

HOW TO USE WIRELESS CHARGING IN YOUR AUDI

The charger is located in the centre console box and can be used by simply placing the device in the phone holder to start charging.

 

iPHONE WIRELESS CHARGING IN YOUR AUDI - COMPATIBILITY

The charger is compatible with the universal Qi standard. All Qi-enabled smartphones including iPhone 8 and iPhone X can be charged directly from the charger, apart from larger phablet size devices like the iPhone 8 Plus or Samsung S8 Plus which won’t fit in the phone holder.

Apple iPhone models prior to the iPhone 8 will need a wireless charging accessory like the Aircharge ‘Made for iPhone’ Wireless Charging Case to enable the device to work with Qi chargers.
