New Toyota Camry with Qi wireless charging

A wireless charging pad has been installed for convenient wireless charging of any Qi-enabled smartphone whilst you drive. The Camry joins Toyota’s already established fleet of vehicle’s supporting onboard wireless charging.

CE4A is a working group of car manufacturers promoting an active standardisation of mobile device interfaces since 2010 this expert group has observed and examined the development of various charging solutions and have recently announced that they are behind Qi.

This announcement from the CE4A demonstrates that Qi is suitable for automotive use and that the automotive OEMs have confidence that Qi-compliant products will continue to be used for a very long time.
