Cadillac In-Car Wireless Charging

Cadillac vehicles equipped for wireless charging usually feature a rubberised charging mat, located behind Cadillac CUE’s hidden storage bin or on the centre armrest. Recent models like the CT6 2017 and the XT5 2017 present a new solution sporting an integrated built-in charging pocket in the centre console. HOW TO USE WIRELESS CHARGING IN YOUR CADILLAC

Before using the wireless charging mat solution, make sure the charging mat is clear of all other objects and your vehicle is turned on, in accessory mode or using the Retained accessory power. Once your device is placed on the mat face up, the phone charging icon will appear near the phone graphic on the vehicle centre touch screen. You may need to adjust the position of your phone for the charging coils to be aligned.

 

Where the built-in pocket solution is available, simply insert your device into the pocket face up and from the bottom in to start charging.

iPHONE WIRELESS CHARGING IN YOUR CADILLAC - COMPATIBILITY

The charger is compatible with the universal Qi standard. All Qi-enabled smartphones including the iPhone 8 and iPhone X can be charged directly from the charging mat. Larger phablet size devices like the iPhone 8 Plus and Samsung S8 Plus won’t fit. For iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus model compatibility in 2017 range and earlier models please visit Apple Support here.

Apple iPhone models prior to the iPhone 8 will need a wireless charging accessory, and Cadillac recommends the Aircharge range of ‘Made for iPhone’ Wireless Charging Cases to enable these devices to work with Qi chargers.
